It all started in a different century and a land faraway…

Back in the 70’s I was a flight attendant for Pan Am and my usual schedule was two round the world flights per month. On one of these flights a designer from Los Angeles said he was looking for a Ganesh. Well, I had no idea what a Ganesh was, but was always up for a challenge. He wanted it in wood, about yeah high and in gaudy colors. The next day in New Delhi, India and after a short nap, I was off on a mission. Tucked away in a small shop at the Red Fort, there was the very gaudy Ganesh he described. Several days later back in LA, I called the designer and he came to see me within 30 minutes. When he saw the treasure, he was very excited. Soon, I had special orders from designers all over town. Thus, a new venture and career was started.

I remember my first trip to Bangkok. The flight arrived after midnight and the airport did not yet have jetways. Stepping off the plane and into that wall of heat and humidity, I said to myself that I could never live in this country. As they say, never say never.

Through the twists and turns of life I found myself in Chiangmai on another treasure hunt and decided to stay. In 1993 my partner, Prasert, and I started World Port Services and I folded Legends into the new company.

Seems like I have been a part of every aspect of this industry, from retailer to wholesaler to importer and now exporter. This vast experience of the past 40 years has given me an unparalleled knowledge of our industry and I am here to put that experience to work for you.

Our showroom is 270 m2 ( 2,900 sf ) and we have a large well organized office and warehouse, all nestled in a rural area of the Chiangmai valley between two mountain ranges.
